Turbine Inlet Cooling Association Launches Web Site with Buyers' Guide, TIC Resources, and Membership Information at http://www.turbineinletcooling.org
(Naperville, IL) - The Turbine Inlet Cooling Association (TICA), a trade association promoting the economical, power-enhancing benefits of combustion turbine inlet cooling, has launched a Web site at http://www.turbineinletcooling.org with information about turbine inlet cooling (TIC) and membership in the association.
The Web site, which will have additional new features in the coming months, now includes the following information:
- Membership materials - Includes membership roster, membership categories, and TICA membership application. New members can join TICA for half price between now and the end of the year.
- Resource Guide - Lists 19 companies involved in various aspects of the TIC industry. Each company has its own detailed profile, and a listing of contact information. Also included is a comprehensive matrix showing the types of services offered by all of the companies, at a glance.
- Bibliography of TIC Publications - Lists almost 50 publications from 1991 to the present covering TIC subjects including: 1) applications and/or case studies; 2) design, technology, and/or performance issues; 3) economics, business and/or market issues; and 4) operations/maintenance issues.
"Through this Web site, we plan to serve not only our members, but also to inform the power community in general about the benefits offered by turbine inlet cooling. With the recent crisis in California drawing everyone's attention to the very real problems of power supply and demand, the Turbine Inlet Cooling Association feels very strongly that part of our mission is to promote the benefits of turbine inlet cooling for providing very measurable improvements in power production capacity. The Web site's Buyers' Guide and Bibliography will help people interested in TIC to find more information and professional contacts who can provide further guidance," stated Dharam Punwani, President of TICA.
TICA was founded in 2001 by a group of companies involved with turbine inlet cooling, that share the belief that TIC provides a cost-effective, energy-efficient, and environmentally-beneficial means of enhancing power generation capacity. The organization currently has 19 member organizations, representatives of which gather for meetings several times a year at various industry events. The next TICA meeting will occur during Power-Gen, December 11-13, 2001 in Las Vegas. Anyone interested in membership or further information can review the Web site or contact Dharam (Don) Punwani, President, at dpunwani@avalonconsulting.com.
